Qatar GP Grandstand and Zone Guides
There are five different grandstands at the Qatar Grand Prix – each of them offering very different views. Plus there’s a General Admission (GA) area called the Lusail Hill, and this is a specific zone on the outside of Turn 1 where GA spectators can watch the race from. There are no other GA viewing points at the circuit.
But as it happens, the General Admission tickets offer not only some of the cheapest F1 tickets on the whole calendar, but they also offer one of the best view of the Lusail track.

Alex’s top pick: Only the Main Grandstand actually has reserved seats at the Qatar GP. All the others are free seating so it’s first come first-served to get a good spot. For that reason, to avoid the stress of trying to get the best seats in the stand every day, I’d probably pay the extra and go for the Main grandstand tickets. Personally I’d want a good view of the pre-race gridwalk (to do some driver and celeb-spotting) so I’d go for higher rows in Zones C or D.
But if I’m being honest, the General Admission tickets are the best value and they give you the best view of Turn 1 where most of the overtaking happens – better than from any other grandstand. So definitely check those out as an option. And as a reminder, all grandstand seats also include access to the GA area.
I’ve used Viagogo to buy my F1 tickets over the last few seasons because I inevitably end up wanting tickets quite last minute they always have them for sale right up until the race weekend itself.
Plus they always have a great selection of single-day tickets, whereas elsewhere you can only get 3-day tickets, and that gives you a lot more flexibility. Last time I bought through them I went for different grandstands on different days using 1-day tickets, for a bit of variety.
