Monza grandstand 7 Biassono

This is my spectacting guide to grandstand 7 Biassono Piscina at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

In this grandstand it’s crucial you select the right seats, otherwise your view can be severely restricted by some trees. Read below for full info.

Monza Grandstand 7 Biassono location

Biassono grandstand 7 at the Monza Formula 1 circuit (also known as Tribuna Biassono) is on the left hand side of the track just as the cars reach the braking zone for the first corner. It’s directly opposite the Alta Velocita grandstands a which are on the other side of the circuit. It’s also in line with the pit lane exit blend line, where the cars who’ve left the pits will be accelerating up to racing speed.

The closest entrance to this stand is entrance gate B, a 5 mintue walk away. Shuttle buses drop off near gate G which is a 35 minute walk away.

The F1 fanzone is unfortunately on the other side of the circuit near the Turn 10 exit. To get there from this stand it’s a 35 minute walk.

To join the infamous post-race track invasion there are a number of gates on this side of the start / finish straight that open up, so it should be easy to get on the track.

There are lots of food and drink sellers and toilets nearby.

Grandstand details

Cover

This grandstand has no cover. It’s exposed to the Italian sun all day long, so dress appropriately for the weater.

Seats

The seats in this stand are individual plastic chairs.

TV screens

There’s one TV screen directly opposite this stand on the front of Grandstand 6C, which is great and super easy to see from all seats.

Monza Grandstand 7 Tickets

This isn’t a big grandstand so tickets can often sell out fast. If that’s the case then you should still be able to buy tickets through ViaGoGo where there will be a good selection of Italian GP grandstand tickets available right up until the race itself.

I’ve bought my F1 tickets on Viagogo lots of times over the last few seasons, including for my more recent trips to the British GP, Dutch GP and Belgian Grand Prix. I’ve always had a great experience using their platform and will definitely buy through them again next time I go.

They also have a very good ‘FanProtect guarantee’ which has given me added peace of mind that my money and tickets will always be safe.

Monza Grandstand 7 seating plan

Below is the seating plan for grandstand 7 Biassono at Monza. It’s a big image file that’s actually a bit too big to host on this page. So add you details in the boxes below and it will be sent straight to your inbox where you can see it.

The front row in this stand is Row A and the back row highest up is Row M. Seat numbers begin at 1 on the right side of the stand (if you sit in your seat and look at the track) and get higher as you move to the left.

View

The map below shows the areas of the Monza circuit visible from this stand highlighted in green:

As it shows, your visibility is very limited. And there’s a simple reason for that; either side of this grandstand are trees. These trees severely limit your view to the left and right.

On the image below you can see how your view is obstructed by the trees (and the bridge to the right):

This grandstand has been around a few years now and the organisers won’t cut the trees down. Some branches have been pruned, but as these images taken from the grandstand opposite in 2025 show, the trees are still on either side of the stand. Plus a TV screen to the right of the stand which will also block the view of Turn 1:

And this video shows the view from the grandstand. Now if you look closely, you can see that the second part of the chicane (Turn 2, the left hander) is just about visible past the trees to the left. This was taken from Row H:

So to get a view of the full chicane to the left, and as much of the cars approaching from the right, it’s crucial you sit in the lowest row possible to get you further forwards and closer to the track.

Best seats

Because of the trees either side of grandstand 7 it’s crucial you try and sit in the lowest row possible. The lower the row, the further forwards you are and the better your angle for looking past the trees. Aim for Rows A or B.

If you sit in the high rows the trees will block your view even more and you won’t be able to anything at all of the first chicane.

Is this a good place to sit?

If you can’t get seats in the front two rows of the Biassono grandstand then personally I wouldn’t bother. Pay a little bit extra for the seats in the Prima Variante Esterna grandstands instead where you’ll have a perfect, unobstructed view of the first two corners.
