This is my guide to the Club grandstand at the Hungaroring.
My guide includes my top tips on choosing the best seats in this grandstand, plus there’s a full seating plan showing sector, seat and row numbers. I’ve also included videos of the views from different seating positions to give you an idea of what the different views will look like. There’s also info on ticket options and more.

Hungaroring Club grandstand location
The Club grandstand is situated high up on a bank on the left hand side of the Hungaroring circuit, at the exit of the final corner (Turn 14) just at the beginning of the start / finish straight. It’s opposite the pit lane entry.
It looks like it’s behind the Grid 2 grandstand on the map, but it’s much higher than it so it looks directly over it, as the views lower down this page will show.
The image below shows how the Club tribune is situated in amongst all the other stands at this point of the circuit:
The best way to access this stand is using entrance gate 6.
Grandstand details
Cover
There’s no roof on this stand, it’s completely uncovered. So dress appropriately for the weather!
Seats
The seats are individual plastic chairs.
TV screens
There are two TV screens visible from this stand, both on the other side of the circuit.
For most people in the stand, the screen to the right will be easiest to see. That’s on the inside of Turn 14, as the image below shows:
Hungaroring Club grandstand tickets
The high vantage points makes this a popular stand, so it can often sell out fast for the Hungarian Grand Prix. If that’s the case but you’re still wanting tickets I’d recommend buying tickets through ViaGoGo instead.
There’s always a great selection of tickets available right up until the Sunday of the GP weekend, even if they’re sold out in other places. And you can often find them at a cheaper price in the days and weeks leading up to the race weekend.
I’ve bought all my tickets for the F1 using ViaGoGo during the last few seasons, including for my trips to the races at Silverstone, Holland (Zandvoort) and Spa. I’ve always had a great experience.
They also have a very good and robust ‘FanProtect’ guarantee which will your will make sure your tickets and your money are always protected.
Hungaroring Club grandstand seating plan
Below is the seating plan for the Club grandstand at the Hungaroring:
As the seating plan shows the grandstand is made up of 8 different sectors which are named A to H.
Sector A is the closest to turn 1 and the start & finish lines. Sector H is the closest to the exit of the final corner.
Each sector has row numbers that start at 1 lowest down at the front. I believe rows go up to around 15 at the back, but am not 100% sure (if you know, drop a comment at the bottom of this page!).
The sectors are laid out in pairs, and each pair is accesed via a walkway up the midde. For example, there’s walkways between Sectors A and B, between C and D, between E and F and between G and H. The seat numbers start at 1 in each sector, on the edge of the walkway. As you then walk along the sector away from the walkway the seat numbers increase.
View
The image below shows the areas of track visible from the Club grandstand highlighted in green:
Being high up, you get a great view of the final corner and the run on to the start / finish straight. Additionally, you can see the straight before Turn 12, and a little bit just after that corner.
When you look to your left in the stand, the new humungous Hungaroring grandstand will block much of your view down the second half of the start / finish straight. But you will be able to see the start grid, start and finish lines.
This first video shows the view from Sector A row 5, pretty much the furthest sector to the left and a little lower down in the stand. From here, in this lower row, you can see that the stand in front does slightly impede your view of the main straight:
This next video was filmed from Sector G, row 15. This is a much higher vantage point and from here the stand in front causes no issues. It’s also further to the right, so you’re pretty much directly opposite the screen:
This final video was filmed from Sector H, row 2. This is the second row from the front of the stand, so almost as low as you can get. And from here you can see the stand in front completely blocks your visibility of the exit of Turn 14 and the beginning of the main straight. As you look to your left you can start to see it a little more clearly:
Bear in mind that those three videos above were filmed before the main Hungaroring grandstand was built. That will now block your view along the second half of the main straight.
Best seats
As the videos above show, going for a low row is risky as your view of can be blocked by the stand in front. So the best seats in the Club grandstand at the Hungarian GP are those in rows 10 and above, and I’d choose a sector in the middle to be equally close to the TV screen off to the right, and the starting grid.
Is this a good place to sit?
You won’t see much overtaking here as the final corner is usually taken single-file. But being surrounded by all the other stands you’ll have a great atmosphere and a nice wide vantage point.
Being higher up this stand is more expensive than those in the lower row in front of it. But make sure you get high seats in this stand, or it’s not worth paying the extra.
There is a lot of parking near this stand. Read my Hungary F1 parking guide for more info. And if you want to know how best to get to the circuit, check out my Hungaroring travel tips.
