Monza Grandstand 10 Roggia location
Grandstand 10 Roggia at the Monza Grand Prix circuit is also known as Tribuna Roggia or Tribuna 10. It’s located on the right hand side of the track and is directly adjancent to Grandstand 9.
It’s just after the cars exit Turn 5 which is the second part of the Roggia chicane, also called the Variante della Roggia. Once the cars and drivers pass this grandstand they head towards the fast Turn 6 right hander.
This grandstand is closest to entrance gate D which is just on the outside of Turn 6. From that gate to this stand it’s a 5 or 10 minute walk through Tunnel 8 which goes under the circuit at T6. However, most of the public transport shuttles drop off near Gate G. From there to this stand is a 45 minute walk.
The F1 fanzone is over a 30 minute walk away from this stand as it’s on the outside of the track near Turn 10.
To join the world famous Monza post-race track invasion you’re best off walking down towards Grandstand 6 Alta Velocita where they normally open a gate to access the circuit.
There are lots of food and drink options and toilets close by this grandstand.
Grandstand details
Cover
This grandstand is uncovered, so you’ll be in the hot sun all day long. Make sure you dress accordingly for the weather.
Seats
The seats are bleacher style benches. The back row is the only one with a backrest as you can lean against the fence.
TV screens
There’s one TV screen visible from this stand. It’s on the other side of the chicane and it can feel like it’s quite a long way from the stand.
Monza Grandstand 10 Tickets
Tickets for these grandstand can sell out fast. If that’s the case then don’t worry as you can still buy tickets through ViaGoGo instead where there will be a good selection of tickets available right up until the start of Sunday during the Italian Grand Prix weekend.
I’ve used Viagogo to buy my Formula 1 tickets lots of times over the last few F1 seasons. I used them for my tickets to the British GP, Belgian GP and Dutch GP. I’ve always had a great experience purchasing through them and will definitely be doing so again the next time I go to and F1, as I managed to get tickets slightly cheaper on there by waiting until nearer the weekend.
They also have a good ‘FanProtect Guarantee’ which is protects your money and tickets. That’s always given me added peace of mind when buying.
Monza Grandstand 10 Roggia seating plan
Below is the seating chart for Grandstand 10 Roggia at Monza. It’s a big image file, and actually is a little too big to host on this page. So if you add your info in the boxes below and press send it’ll arrive in your email inbox right away
Grandstand 10 has rows which start at A lowest down at the front and increase to Row M highest up at the back.
Seat numbers begin at 1 on the left side of the stand (if you’re standing on the circuit and looking up at the grandstand) and increase as you move to the right.
View
The image below shows the parts of the circuit you can see from this stand highlighted in green:
As the map above shows, you view from here is mainly of the Roggia chicane (Turns 4 and 5), with a little bit of visibility of the track before and after those corners. There are some trees to the right of this grandstand that stop you seeing too far down torwards Turn 6, especially if you’re in the higher rows.
The videos below provide some examples of the view from here from different seat positions.
This first video was filmed from Row A (front row) seat 37:
This next video was filmed from Row F seat 10:
This next video was filmed from Row J seat 44:
This was filmed from Row J seat 48, almost all the way to the left hand end of the stand:
Best seats
Personally I’d go for the higher rows in the higher seat numbers of this stand, so your view would look similar to that shown in the last video above.
I’d aim for Row J and above in seat numbers 40 and above if possible. Those seats give you a better overall view of the chicane, plus they put you more in line with the TV screen.
Is this a good place to sit?
Overtakes and collisions do happen at the Roggia chicane, but they’re usually on the first part near the Turn 4 right hander which this stand is further away from.
So if you want a better view of that part of the track (where Piastri did his incredible overtake on Norris) then I’d got for Grandstand 33 instead, which has a better view of that part of the track and is closer to a TV.
