This is my guide to the two grandstands at Parabolica Interna – grandstand 23A and grandstand 23B – at Monza for the Italian Grand Prix.
In this guide I’vee included my tips for choosing the best seats in these stands and videos which show the views from different positions. Plus there’s a full seating chart for each of the two grandstands and some information on how to get tickets even if they’re sold out elsewhere.

Monza Grandstand 23 Parabolica Interna location
At the Monza Italian GP circuit, the Parabolica Interna grandstands are on the inside of the Parabolica corner, the final corner Turn 11. These grandstands are also known as Tribuna Parabolica Internal.
There are two seperate grandstands here adjacent to each other:
- Grandstand 23A
- Grandstand 23B
Turn 11 is the incredibly fast Parabolica which leads on to the start / finish straight. These grandstands are on the right hand side of the circuit and are directly in front of the pit lane entry road.
Grandstand 23B is closest to the start finish line whilst 23A is furthest away from it. 23A is also adjacent to some small viewing platforms that are used for General Admission viewing.
The nearest entrances to these stands are pedestrian entrance gates A and B. From those gates you have a short walk under the tunnel that goes beneath the start / finish straight and then you’re just a few minutes away. But if you’re using one of the shuttle bus services, these normally drop off outside Gate G. From there it’s more than 35 minutes to walk to this stand.
This stand is also pretty close to the main Formula 1 fanzone which is a 10 minute walk away on the outside of the circuit in the direction of the Ascari chicane.
Grandstand details
Cover
Both of these grandstands are uncovered. So make sure you dress appropriately for the weather and sunshine.
Seats
As the image at the top of this page shows all the seats are bench seats like bleachers. There’s no backrest.
TV screens
There’s one TV screen visible from these stands. It’s on the other side of the track, to the left of Grandstand 24 opposite.
Monza Grandstand 23 Tickets
This is a really popular place to sit at the Italian Grand Prix which means tickets for these seats can sell out fast. If that’s the case I’d recommend buying your tickets through ViaGoGo instead where they should have a good selection of tickets for sale right up until race day on the Sunday.
And if you watch the ticket prices closely in the final few days before the Grand Prix you might be able to find them for a bit cheaper than official list price, which is what I’ve done previously.
I’ve used ViaGoGo for my F1 tickets over the last couple of years, including for my trips to the British, Dutch and Belgian GPs. I’ve always had a great experience buying their tickets and won’t hesitate to do the same again next time.
Additionally they have a robust ‘Fan Protect’ guarantee which means your money and your tickets are protection, which is always good for extra peace of mind!
Monza Grandstand 23 Seating Plan
Below is the seating plan for Grandstand 23A and 23B at Monza. Enter your name and email address in the boxes below, hit send, and the high resolution seating charts will be sent to your inbox right away (the image file is too big to host on this page!).
The rows run from A (front) to M (back) in both stands. Seat numbers start at 1 on the left side of each grandstand (if you stand on track and look up at the seats) and increase as you move to the right.
View
The image belows shows the parts of the Monza GP circuit that are visible from these two grandstands highlighted in green:
As the map shows, these stands offer quite a limited view of the circuit. Basically all you’ll be able to see is the cars exiting the final corner and accelerating at full throttle along the start finish staright. Plus you’ll get a view of the cars at the start of the pit lane entry road.
Unfortunately the pit wall tends to block your view to the right, so you won’t be able to see the start line or anything past it along the straight.
Below the videos filmed from each stand give a better idea of exactly what the view is like.
Grandstand 23A
23A is the closest of the two stands to the Parabolica corner. It’s also better positioned for seeing the TV as it’s more in line with it on the other side of the circuit.
This video was filmed from Row G (seventh row from the front) in fairly low seat numbers:
This video was filmed from the front row, Row A, in very low seat numbers (around seat 15) and you can see how the pit wall blocks your view along the main straight to the right:
Whereas this video was filmed from much higher seat numbers, over 100, in Row C (third row):
Grandstand 23B
23B is further to the right, so the screen is a little harder to see as it’s off to your left across the circuit. Plus you don’t get as much of a view of the cars exiting the final turn.
This video was filmed from Row C seat 15:
This next video was filmed from a pretty central position in the stand in Row E seat 45:
Best seats
Personally I’d choose to be as far to the left in as possible to get better visibility of the cars exiting the final corner and a better view of the TV screen. So I’d choose the higher seat numbers of Grandstand 21A, ideally seats 90 and above.
Which row you pick doesn’t matter too much. The lower rows put you just metres from the cars flying past, but the higher rows give you a wider vantage point. I’d prefer higher but that’s my preference.
Is this a good place to sit?
Because you’re sat at such a fast part of the circuit here, you won’t see the cars for very long as they zoom past at over 160mph. But you do get an amazing sense of speed when they do so.
Unfortunately the view is quite limited to what’s in front of you, but these are usually some of the cheaper tickets for that reason.
Also, if you’re keen to get involved in the track invasion after the race, then this is a good place to sit. You’ll probably have to go back to the Parabolica where they open the entrance on to the circuit, but if you leave your seat just as the race finishes and you run you can make it underneath the podium in time for the anthems.
