Where are the Abu Dhabi GP concerts?
All of the Abu Dhabi F1 concerts are located at Etihad Park.
WARNING: This is NOT Etihad Arena. Confusingly that’s a completely different venue to the south of the circuit. Don’t go there.
Go to Etihad Park. It’s right next to the North Grandstand by Turn 5 on the Yas Marina Circuit Layout. I’ve highlighted it on the map below.
The stage will be located between the two western-most ‘prongs’ of the Ferrari World structure, so it’s outdoors.
How to get to Etihad Park
Gates to Etihad Park from Yas Marina circuit open at 18:00 each day, a few hours before the headline performer is due to be on stage.
Yas Marina circuit is a large venue. If you’re at the end furthest away from Etihad Park then it would be a very long walk.
Luckily there are two different shuttle services that take Formula 1 ticket holders around the venue and to the after-race concerts. There are the Circular Shuttle and Courtesy Shuttle.
The map below shows the different stops for each of these shuttles around the circuit.
Here’s the best way to get to Etihad Park from each of the different zones around Yas Marina:
- North Grandstand / Oasis: Very short walk, only a few minutes’ away
- West Grandstand / Oasis: 30 minute walk / Circular on at C7 off at C8 / Courtesy on at Y1 off at Y3
- South Grandstand / Oasis: Circular on at C6 off at C8
- Marina Grandstand / Oasis: Circular on at C6 off at C8
- Main Grandstand / Oasis: 30 minute walk / Courtesy on at Y2 off at Y3
- Abu Dhabi Hill: 20 minute walk / Courtesy on at Y2 off at Y3
Both shuttle services operate every 15 minutes and are incredibly efficient. Definitely a nice way to save your legs after being on your feet all day and before the concerts start.
Who can access the Abu Dhabi F1 concert?
You need to have a Formula 1 ticket to access the Abu Dhabi GP concerts at Etihad park. You also need to collect a concert wristband from one of the AskYas information booths within the circuit before you can access Etihad Park.
Even if you’re only coming for the concert, you still need to go in to the circuit to pick up a concert wristband.
Which ticket you have will determine which concert days you can access:
- Thursday: All ticket holders
- Friday: All 3-day grandstand / general admission ticket holders, all Friday 1-day ticket holders
- Saturday: All 3-day grandstand / general admission ticket holders, all Saturday 1-day ticket holders
- Sunday: All 3-day grandstand / general admission ticket holders, all Sunday 1-day ticket holders
Etihad Park does have a maximum capacity and Yas Marina say that entrance is not guaranteed, and is on a first-come first-served basis.
The only way to guarantee access is to update to a Golden Circle ticket.
Golden circle
The Golden Circle is an upgrade option for anyone going to the Abu Dhabi F1 concerts.
It includes guaranteed fast-track entry to the performances and a dedicated area at the front of the crowd closest to the stage. Plus there’s Golden Circle-only drinks booths, to cut down on queue time.
These were the 2022 costs to upgrade to Golden Circle concert tickets:
Golden Circle Upgrades | |
---|---|
Day | Price |
Thursday | AED 195 / $53 |
Friday | AED 295 / $80 |
Saturday | AED 295 / $80 |
Sunday | AED 395 / $107 |
4-days | AED 945 / $258 |
Stay comfortable
Abu Dhabi in late November won’t be scorching but it will definitely be hot during the day. The evenings will feel cooler but it’ll still be warm, especially in amongst the huge crowd of people at the concert.
Make sure you stay hydrated throughout the day and wear some comfortable clothes. My Abu Dhabi GP dress code has some suggestions and examples of what to wear.
