This is my guide and review to the AmEx grandstand at Albert Park for the Australian F1 Grand Prix.
AmEx grandstand location
The AmEx grandstand, which first debuted for the 2025 Grand prix, is on the outside (left side) of the circuit at the Turn 4 left-hander on the Albert Park circuit layout, as the map below shows.
It’s directly opposite the Ricciardo grandstand and next to the Hill Grandstand.
As you can see on the map below, the shape of the grandstand means it has different sections which point towards different parts of the circuit. Read on further down this page for information on the views, and where’s best to sit.

Grandstand tickets - Australian Grand Prix
Tickets for this grandstand are going to be very popular and will probably sell out very quickly on the official site. If that’s the case, you can buy tickets through Stubhub all the way until the last few minutes before the race itself.
NOTE: If you’re trying to view the StubHub site from Australia, you’ll need to use a VPN from a different country to see the tickets available for the Australian GP. I use NordVPN who are cheap and reliable.

Grandstand details
TV Screens
There are 2 TV screens visible from this grandstand, depending on which section you sit in.
One screen is on the right hand side of Turn 4, directly across the other side of the corner, visible by people sat in sections B and C of this stand (first image below).
The other is just before Turn 4 above the Ricciardo stand and visible to those in section A (second image below, taken from section B).
Seats
The seats are plastic chairs with fixed backs and bases.
Cover
This grandstand is completely uncovered and exposed to the elements, so be prepared.

AmEx grandstand seating map
The AmEx grandstand is made up of three sections named A, B and C. As the seating chart shows, these three sections are all orientated differently.
Section A runs parallel to the straight bit of track between turns 3 and 4.
Section B is angled towards the apex of Turn 4.
Section C is almost parallel to the straight bit of track between turns 4 and 5.
Each section has seat numbers that start from 1 on the left side of the section and increase as you move to the right (if you stand on the circuit and look up at the grandstand).
Sections A and B have rows that start at Row A lowest down and increase up to Row F at the back. Section C is much taller.
AmEx grandstand view at the Aus GP
The view of the track from the AmEx stand depends on which section of the stand you sit in.
Section A will have a view looking towards the apex of Turn 3. You cannot see the braking zone and enter of turn 3, just the apex and exit. You’ll then be able to see the cars accelerate towards Turn 4 and turn in to the left hander, and you’ll lose sight of them once they get to the apex. The image below shows the parts of the track visible from section A in green:
In Section B you’ll have a more restricted view. You won’t be able to see anything of Turn 3, instead you’ll just see the cars as they zoom past you at the apex of Turn 4 which is right in front of you. That’s all. You can’t see to the left or right of that really.

Section C has a wider view of the cars as they apex Turn 4, exit that corner and then head off to Turn 5. You’ll see them enter Turn 5 and then lose them out sight after the apex. Here’s the visibility from Section C, shown as the green part of the track:
The only other thing to consider for Section C is that if you could get a seat in the top row in seat numbers 1 – 10, you could stand up, turn around, and look over the back of the grandstand towards Turn 3, increasing your view massively.
Best seats AmEx grandstand
I’d definitely avoid section B if possible as your view there is very limited.
Then it’s a bit of a toss-up between sections A and C. There’s often a lot of action on the apex of Turn 3, especially on the opening laps, so I’d be tempted to go for Section A to get a better view of that.
If you went for Section A, I’d try and get a seat in the top row in the lowest few seat numbers so I could turn around and look over towards Turn 3, as well as having visiblity of Turns 4 and 5.
Nearest entrance
The best and nearest Albert Park entrance gate to this stand at the Aus GP is Gate 1, only a short walk away.
