I sat in Farm Curve Grandstand at Silverstone during last year's British GP. This article provides examples of the views from different seats in this stand, a seating plan, my tips on the best seats to pick, tickets, information on the nearest car parks and entrances and everything else you need to know. Contents Is Farm Curve a good place to sit at Silverstone? Farm Curve is the flat-out left kink that links the incredibly fast Abbey corner, the first corner on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, with the very tight right hander of Village corner. The Formula 1 cars will take Farm Curve at close to 190mph.Village is the first key overtaking opportunity on the GP track. The large amount of braking on the way in here to slow the cars and bikes from the high speed Farm Curve (which is even faster than Copse Corner) means that there are always some last minute late-braking manoeuvres on display. It’s almost guaranteed that there will be some action here on the opening laps of a race. The grandstand at Farm Curve is perfectly positioned, being higher up than the general spectating areas, to be able to see all of the infield section, including the Loop and Aintree.In 2022 the heart-stopping battle between Hamilton, Leclerc, Perez, Norris and Alonso raged on through this infield section during the British Grand Prix with multiple overtakes happening in just two corners. Fans seated at Farm saw the whole thing first hand. In 2024 we saw overtakes from Norris, Piastri, Verstappen, Hamilton, Leclerc and more here.If you're camping at Silverstone then some of the nearby campsites with the shortest walk to Farm Curve include Cartmel Fields, Woodlands and the Golf Club. Where is Farm Curve at Silverstone? The grandstand at Farm Curve is on the left hand side of the track as it curves around to the left after Abbey corner and before the tight right hander of Village. The grandstand is positioned parallel to Farm Curve but set back just a little way, with a gravel trip between it and the track itself. It's adjacent to the Village A grandstand, which is to the left of Farm grandstand. It also has The View, a smaller grandstand, to the right of it which has a better view of Abbey and the start / finish straight. There is a general admission standing / spectating area directly infront of the grandstand, and also to either side of it.Farm feels like it is located on the infield section of the circuit with the track curving around it on both sides, however it is actually on the outside of the circuit. You do not have to cross over to the inside of the track to get to it.It's really close to the Fan Zone and Main Stage during the F1, so it's deal for easy access to loads of food, drink and other attractions. Farm grandstand tickets Tickets often sell out fast for this stand at the British GP. If that's the case and you still want to spectate here, I'd suggest buying tickets through Viagogo or StubHub.Often they'll appear for sale there cheaper than list price in the run up to the event, and there's always loads of single-day ticket options available. Viagogo tickets StubHub tickets I've bought F1 tickets on Viagogo and StubHub a number of times over the last couple of year, including when I went to the Las Vegas GP last year and for this year's British GP. I've always had a great experience with them and will definitely use them again for some more tickets this season.They also have a great (and very robust) 'FanProtect guarantee' which means your tickets and money are always safe and protected. Are there big TV screens at Farm Curve? There is one large TV screen across the track directly opposite Farm grandstand. The screen is fairly close and easily visible from the whole stand. Is Farm Curve grandstand covered? Farm grandstand at Silverstone is not covered, it is completely open to the elements. So bring your anorak and / or your factor 50 depending on what mood the British weather is in. It shows the views from this stand from various seat positions:Row C Seat 1Row J Seat 110Row A Seat 130Row K Seat 220Row D Seat 279https://youtu.be/b-GQ01YD6agThe location and orientation of the Farm Curve grandstand means that it has a fantastic view of Abbey and Farm plus most of the infield section including Village, the Loop and the start of Aintree. As the video shows, for better views of Abbey you want to be in the lower seat numbers. For better views of Village and The Loop go for higher numbers and higher rows.The Silverstone website says the grandstand also has great views of Becketts and Chapel and the start of Hangar Straight. I don’t think this is completely accurate. The lower rows near the front of Farm grandstand defiitely aren't able to see over the fences to that bit of the track. To stand a chance of seeing Becketts you would need to be seated as high up as possible in the stand, but even then it's quite far in the distance, so bring your binoculars. There is no row I (eye). Best seats The best seats to choose depend on what you want to see. If you want to see more of Abbey, go for the lower seat numbers.If you're like me and would rather have a better view of Village and The Loop where there's always lots of action, then go for the highest seat numbers possible.If you want a chance of seeing over the track towards Becketts you need the back couple of rows in the highest seat numbers, and a telescope.
