Grandstand and General Admission Guides
There are 10 different grandstands to choose from at COTA for the United States Grand Prix.
For a cheaper option you can go for General Admission ‘Grounds Pass’ tickets, and COTA is one of the best circuits on the calendar for General Admission viewing thanks to the hills around the edge of the track.

Alex’s top pick: COTA Turn 15 grandstand, sections 2-7 in rows 20 or above are my favourite seats at COTA. You can see down the back straight and the braking / overtaking zone at Turn 12, plus all of the infield section from turns 12 – 15 where overtaking always happens.

If you’re heading to COTA for the F1 (or other major events) then here’s some vital information you need to know before you go:
If you’re making a trip to COTA for the Grand Prix (or any other event at the track) and need somewhere to stay, getting accommodation as close as possible to the circuit will help avoid the worst of the traffic chaos getting in and out of the track on big race weekends.
Alternatively, if you want to make the most of your visit, staying in nearby downtown Austin is the definitely the best choice for sightseeing, eating, drinking and entertainment when you’re not at the track.
