Circuit of the Americas events
COTA is the only permanent Formula One track in the United States. Whilst internationally it’s best known for hosting the F1 and seeing the winners lift the US GP trophy, there’s actually a lot more big events held here.
MotoGP, Nascar Cup, Xfinity and Truck Series and the GT World Challenge are some of the other headline events.
In addition there’s a number of club road racing events held at COTA throughout the season. Plus there’s dozens of opportunities for amateur drivers and riders to get on track during HPDE or track days.
Information on all of the different Circuit of the Americas events is pretty spread out, so below I’ve tried to put all the data in one place.

2023 Circuit of the Americas events - motorsport
Obviously the biggest motorsport event taking place at COTA each year is the Formula One weekend, where Circuit of the Americas hosts the official United States Grand Prix. In 2022 a total of over 400,000 fans attended the circuit across the whole 3 day weekend. See our article on the Austin F1 schedule for more information on the timings across the weekend.
Some of the other headline events incude the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas and the Nascar series races at the circuit.

As well as the competitive and amateur events on the circuit itself, COTA hosts a number of car shows and events at the circuit. The most frequent of these is Cars & Coffee which runs most months.
