This is my review and spectacting guide for Grandstand 6B at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez track for the Formula 1 Grand Prix race in Mexico City.

Grandstand 6B Mexico GP location
Grandstand 6B, also known as Grada 6B, at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez race circuit is on the outside of the track just after Turn 3, which is the final part of the first chicane. This grandstand runs parallel to the circuit along the straight between turns 3 and 4.
Directly to the right of this stand is Grandstand 6. And directly to the left of it are some VIP hospitality tents which unfortunately block your view slightly, as I’ll show lower down this article. It’s also directly opposite Grandstand 5A.
This grandstand is very easy to get to. Entrance gate 9 only a 5 minute walk away, and right next to gate 9 is where you exit the Puebla Metro station. So it’s very easy if you’re planning on using public transport to get to the Mexican Grand Prix.
Zone
At the Mexican Grand Prix the circuit is divided in to different spectator zones. Grandstand 6B is in the Blue Zone (Zona Azul). Tickets to this grandstand mean that you can only access the Blue Zone. You cannot access any of the other zones at the track with this ticket.
To help provide some more info on the Blue Zone I’ve written a full guide to the different zones at the Mexican GP. But in short the Blue Zone is definitely the best zone and the only one with the full F1 Fan Zone, so it is a great place to be for the weekend.
Grandstand details
Cover
There’s no cover over this grandstand, it’s fully exposed to the weather. So brig sun protection, a hat, and make sure you wear suitable clothing for the heat!
Seats
The seats are plastic pads on bench style bleachers.
TV screens
There are two TV screens visible from this grandstand. One’s pretty much directly opposite on the other side of the track, the other is further to the right on the inside of the track near Turn 2. But that one might not be visible as the grandstand opposite will restrict your view of it slightly.
Mexico GP Grandstand 6B tickets
As it’s in the very popular Blue Zone tickets will sell out fast for this grandstand. So the other option is you can buy tickets through ViaGoGo right up until the day of the race.
Plus you’ll be able to get one-day tickets there which are cheaper and give your more flexibility, and you might also be able to find them slighter cheaper.
I’ve bought a number of Formula 1 tickets through Viagogo over the last few years, and that includes my most recent trips to the British and Canadian Grand Prix. And each time I bought through their site I managed to get single day tickets cheaper than the official price.
They also have a great FanProtect Guarantee which will keep your money and your tickets safe – always good for extra peace of mind. I’ll happily use ViaGoGo again next time I need F1 tickets.
Mexico Grandstand 6B seating plan
Below is the seating chart for Grandstand 6B at the Mexican Grand Prix:
As the seating plan shows grandstand 6B is made up of three sections – 102, 103 and 103. Section 102 is closest to the exit of Turn 3 and Section 104 is furthest away from it.
Each section has row numbers which start at 1 at the front and increase the higher up you go. The back row is Row 14.
Seat numbers start at 1 on the left side of each section and increase as you move to the right.
View
The map below shows the parts of the circuit you can see from this grandstand in green:
As the map shows, the view from Grandstand 6B at the Mexican F1 is mainly of the first chicane – turns 1, 2 and 3. From this grandstand Turn 1 will be a little further away and harder to see especially from the lower rows of the stand. The higher rows will give you better vantage point to see all three corners.
Unfortunately directly to the left of this stand is a VIP hospitality tent. As it’s so close it will block your view down towards Turn 4 slightly, especially those sat further back in the stand. You can see this on the image below – it’s the white tent to the left of the grandstand.
This grandstand was new for 2025 so I haven’t had a chance to get a video from here yet (if you have one get in touch – I’d love to feature it on this page).
But in the meantime, this video was from the adjacent Grandstand 6, just to the right of 6B, taken from the closest section. It will be very similar to the view you’d get from Section 102 of Grandstand 6B:
Best seats
I’d prioritise seeing as much of the first chicane as possible, so I’d go for seats in Section 102 rows 10 and above to be as high as possible and as close to it as you can get.
Is this a good place to sit?
This stand is in the Blue Zone which is the best zone, so that’s great. But for seeing the first chicane where most of the overtaking and action happens at the Mexican GP circuit, especially on the opening lap, I’d probably choose a grandstand slightly closer to the first couple of corners for a better overall view. Check out the guides to stands 4, 5 or 6 below for a better option.
