Mexico GP Grandstand and Zone Guides

There are nearly 20 different grandstand to pick from at the Mexican Grand Prix. And unusually, there are no ‘General Admission’ tickets – every ticket you get will get you a grandstand seat.

But your grandstand ticket will only get you access to the zone which your stand is in. You cannot freely roam around the whole circuit exploring all the different zone. The only exception are the Yellow and Pink Zones, which also get access to the Blue Zone.

For more information, check out my guide to the different zones:

The views from each grandstand vary wildly. Some are shaded with a roof, some are exposed to the sun all day long.

To help you find out my information on each grandstand, I’ve written a full guide / review for every stand. These include videos of the views from various seats, a full seating chart, info on the shade you’ll get in each stand, my tips on the best seats and more.

Alex’s top pick: The Blue Zone (Zona Azul) is the best zone – it’s the biggest and has the F1 Fan Zone within it, so it’s got the most going on. For that reason I’d pick a stand that has access to this zone. Of those, I’d go for Grandstand 5 as it has the best view of the cars as they approach Turn 1, and of the whole first chicane, where there’s always action on the opening lap, and where you’re likely to see some overtaking throughout the race.

If immersing yourself in the Mexican atmosphere and party vibes is more important than seeing some entertaining on-track action, then you need a seat in the Foro Sol stadium section – Grandstands 14 or 15. Personally I’d go for 15 as that spends more of the day in the shade.

Mexican GP tickets

I have consistently used Viagogo for buying my F1 tickets over the last few seasons and have always had a great experience using them. I bought my Dutch, Canadian and British GP tickets through them recently without issue.

Plus they always have a great selection of 1, 2 or 3-day Mexican Grand Prix tickets available, and the single-day options give you much more flexibility. You can always find some for sale there even if they’re sold out elsewhere, and you can often find a bargain if you keep your eyes on them in the last few days leading up to the race.

They also have a very good ‘FanProtect’ guarantee which means your money will always be protected, which is definitely good for added peace of mind!
