Monaco Grandstand and General Admission Guides

There are 12 different grandstands to choose from at the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo (the pink items on the map below).

There’s also two different General Admission zones (in red on the map) called Zone Z and La Rocher. La Rocher is pretty unique because it’s actually a massive rocky hillside outside the circuit that you pay to get access to for a view down on to the track.

Below are my detailed guides to each grandstand and the general admission areas. Definitely read these before buying your tickets as they include my tips on picking the best seats in grandstands (and the seats to avoid), videos of views from different spots and from La Rocher, ticket information and more.

Alex’s top pick: My favourite seats, and in my opinion the best grandstand seats at the Monaco Grand Prix, are those in Grandstand K in row ZD (top row) of section K1, seat numbers in the 15 – 30 range.  Those seats give you a view stretching all the way from the exit of the Tunnel, through the Nouvelle Chicane and round the fast right hander of Turn 12 and in to the next chicane.

PLUS, as a bonus, if you get the back row you can actually turn around and watch the cars go along the end of the start / finish straight and enter Turn 1. Winner winner.

Monaco GP tickets

I have used Viagogo for my Formula 1 tickets over the last few seasons and have always have a great experience using them. I bought my Dutch, British and Belgian GP tickets through them last year.

They always seem to have a great selection of 1, 2 or 3-day Monaco Grand Prix tickets available, even if they’re sold out elsewhere. Plus you’ll usually be able to find a bargain if you keep your eyes peeled in the few days before the race weekend. That’s what I did las time. And they have a very robust ‘FanProtect guarantee’ which will keep your money and tickets safe, which is great for added peace of mind!
