Grandstand location at the Monaco Grand Prix

Grandstand O at the Monaco Grand Prix is on the outside (left-hand side) of the circuit at the Piscine (swimming pool) section of the track. It sits between the exit of Turn 14 and the entry of Turn 15.

It’s on one of the pontoons that makes up part of the Monte Carlo Harbour and if you’ sit here you’ll be surrounded by multi-million dollar yachts.

It’s in between the much smaller Grandstand N and Grandstand P.

Buy Grandstand O Monaco tickets

This is a popular grandstand so tickets can be hard to find for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of F1 race weekend.

If that’s the case but you’d still like to purchase tickets then I recommend buying reserved seats on ViaGoGo where there’s often seat tickets available up until race day.

I’ve used Viagogo to book grandstands seats at the Formula 1 a number of times over the last couple of years and have always had a great experience purchasing through them. Plus their ‘Fan Protect guarantee’ ensures your money and tickets are safe which gives peace of mind.

I’ll be using them again to buy my next F1 ticket for a Grand Prix weekend, especially as the last time I used them I got my tickets for the Vegas F1 race cheaper than the official list price.

Grandstand details

Seats

The seats are all shared plastic bleacher benches and they don’t have a back rest. You’ll have ‘reserved seats’, but that will just be a reserved space on the bleacher bench. There won’t be much space between you and the people next to you.

Cover

There’s no cover over the stand, it’s open to the elements. So be prepared come rain or shine. The stand faces West so the sun will move around to your left and will be shining directly in to your face in the late afternoon.

Make sure you dress appropriately and with the weather in mind. Check out my Monaco GP dress code guide for more info.

TV screens

There are two TV screens visible from this stand. One to the right and one to the left, as shown in the image below.

Amenities

There are toilets and a food and drink vendor available directly behind this stand.

Grandstand O Seating plan

Below is the seating plan for grandstand O at the Monaco GP.

As the plan shows it has rows of grandstand seats that go from from A lowest down at the front to ZT highest up at the back. The rows initially go from A to Z, then when they pass Z they go ZA, ZB, ZC etc until ZT.

The seat numbers increase starting from 1 on the left hand side of the stand (if you were stood on the track looking at the seats) to 44 on the right hand side.

Views from the grandstand

The image below shows the views of the Circuit de Monaco visible from grandstand O highlighted in pink.

This grandstand is steeply tiered and goes very high off the ground. The further back your row, the higher you’ll be and the better your vantage point will become of the circuit. You’ll have coverage of the Turn 13 / 14 chicane, the short straight and the Turn 15 / 16 chicane.

The video below shows the view from Row J seat 37:

This next video was filmed from higher up in Row ZD seat 19:

And this video was filmed from slightly higher in Row ZH seat 18:

Best seats in this stand

As the videos above show, the best seats to select in Grandstand O at the Monaco Grand Prix are those in the highest rows. The higher you go, the better your vantage point over the track.

I’d recommend going for seats in rows ZD and above, and ideally fairly central to the stand but in all honesty the seat number doesn’t make a huge difference

This grandstand is access using entrance gate 2. For info on how to get to Monaco during F1 weekend read my parking, travel & transport guide.
