Grandstand location at the Monaco Grand Prix
Grandstand P at the Monaco Grand Prix is on the outside (left-hand side) of the Monaco street circuit at the Piscine (swimming pool) section of the track. It sits just before the entry of the Turn 15 / Turn 16 chicane.
It’s on one of the pontoons that forms part of the Monte Carlo Harbour and there’s actually water between the stand and the circuit, and numerous multi-million dollar yachts moored right behind it.
It’s adjacent to the much larger Grandstand O.
Buy Grandstand P Monaco tickets
This is a small grandstand and is one of the cheapest places to sit at the Monaco GP, so tickets can be hard to find for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of F1 race weekend.
If that’s the case but you’d still like to purchase Monaco tickets for this stand then I recommend buying your reserved seats on ViaGoGo instead where there’s often seat tickets available right up until race day.
I’ve used Viagogo to book grandstands seats at the Formula 1 on numerous occasions over the last couple of years and have always had a great experience purchasing through their platform. Plus they have a ‘Fan Protect guarantee’ which ensures your money and tickets are safe for extra peace of mind.
I’ll be using them again to buy my next F1 ticket for a Grand Prix. Last time I used them I managed to grab my tickets for the Vegas F1 race cheaper than the official price!
Grandstand details
Seats
The seats are all plastic bleacher benches without a back rest. You’ll have a ‘reserved seat’, but that actually means a reserved space on the bench. There won’t be that much space between you and the people either side of you.

Cover
This stand is uncovered and completely exposed to the elements, so be prepared with the correct clothing come rain or shine. The stand faces West so the sun will move around to your left as the day progressed and by late afternoon it will be shining directly on you.
Dress appropriately for the weather and for Monaco by checking out my guide to the Monaco F1 dress code.
TV screens
There’s TV screen directly in front of this stand that’s easily visible. It’s mounted on the side of Grandstand L which is directly opposite this stand.

Amenities
There are toilets and a food and drink vendor available on the next pontoon across, so easily accessible.
Grandstand P Seating plan
Below is the seating plan for grandstand P at the Monaco GP.
As the plan shows it’s a small stand with 6 rows of grandstand seats that go from from A lowest down at the front to F higher up at the back.
The seat numbers increase from left to right (if you stood on the track looking up at the seats) and go from 1 on the left to 108 on the right hand side.
Views from the grandstand
The image below shows the views of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit available from Grandstand P highlighted in pink.
As the image shows, your view is limited to the exit of the Turn 13 / 14 chicane, the short run down the straight and then the Turn 15 / 16 chicane. The further back / higher up in the stand you sit, the better your view will be. But because there’s only 6 rows, you never get a particularly high vantage point.
The video below shows the view from Row F seat 8. The benefit of being in the back row is that you can stand up on the seats to get a higher viewing point, as was done for this video:
Best seats in the grandstand
In all honesty I’d try and select seats in a high row of the adjacent Grandstand O instead, where you’ll get a much better vantage point for a few extra Euros, rather than sitting in Grandstand P.
If you do want to sit in P then definitely go for the back row, Row F, and lower seat numbers.
You can access this grandstand using entrance gate 2. For info on how to travel to Monaco for the F1 check out my parking, travel and transport guide for F1 weekend.
