Grandstand location at the Monaco Grand Prix
Grandstand N at the Monaco GP is is on the outside (left-hand side) of the circuit at the Swimming Pool (Piscine) section of the track.
It’s on one of the pontoons that makes up part of the Monte Carlo Harbour and actually has water between it and the circuit, and many multi-million dollar yachts right behind it.
It’s directly adjacent to the much larger Grandstand O and overlooks the Louis Chiron chicane, Turns 13 and 14.
Buy Grandstand N Monaco tickets
This is quite a small grandstand so tickets can be hard to find for for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of race weekend.
If that’s the case but you’d still like to purchase tickets then I’d recommend buying tickets on ViaGoGo instead, where there’s often seats available up until race day.
I’ve used Viagogo to book grandstands seats at the Formula 1 a number of times over the last couple of seasons and have always had a great experience purchasing through them. Plus they guarantee your money and tickets are safe which is good for added peace of mind!
I’ll be using them again to buy my next F1 ticket next time go to a Grand Prix, especially as the last time I used them I got my tickets for the Vegas GP cheaper than the official price.
Grandstand details
Seats
The seats are all shared plastic bleacher style benches without a back rest. You’ll have ‘reserved seats’, but that will just be a reserved space on the bench. There won’t be much space between you and the person next to you.

Cover
There’s no cover over the stand, it’s fully open to the elements. The stand faces due West so the sun will move around to your left and will be shining on you in the afternoon. Wear appropriate clothing; see the Monaco GP dress code for more info.
TV screens
There is one main TV screen visible to the right of this stand, as shown in the image above and below. There’s also a second one off to the left but that’s harder to see; the one on the right is all you need.

Amenities
There are toilets and a food / drink vendor available next to this stand on the adjacent pontoon.
Seating plan
Below is the seating plan for grandstand N at the Monaco GP.
As the plan shows it has 6 rows of grandstand seats that go from from A lowest down at the front to F highest up at the back.
The seat numbers increase from 1 (on the left hand side of the stand if you were stood on the track looking up at the seats) to 108 on the right hand side.
Views
The image below shows the views of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit visible from grandstand N highlighted in pink.
From this grandstand you’ll get a view of the cars as they exit the Louis Chiron chicane, turn 14. You’ll then be able to see them as they pass the short straight in front of you, then you’ll just catch a glimpse of them as they go through the turn 15 / 16 chicane.
As this grandstand only has 6 rows, even the seats in the back row aren’t very high off the ground. That makes it hard to see over the armco barrier between you and the circuit, so your view of the track is pretty restricted.
The video below shows the view from Row C seat 20, and shows how hard it is to see the cars over the barriers.
Best seats
To be honest, no seats in Grandstand N at the Monaco Grand Prix have a particularly clear view of the track.
I’d definitely try and select a reserved seat in a higher row of the adjacent Grandstand O instead, as they should be the same price for a much better view.
But if you insist on sitting in stand N, go for the highest row and highest seat number you can.
This grandstand is accesssed via entrance gate 2. For info on the best way to get to Monaco for the GP read my Monaco F1 travel, transport & parking guide.
